Drone Tech

Welcome to Drone Tech,

On this page we’ll be learning about the many different components there are in a drone. We will also be embarking on a video series on how to build a drone. This is an exciting and new area for Touched By A Turtle, so please check back for updates on when the series will begin. The series will be a step by step walkthrough for all of us at the same time. As it is done on the video for the first time. This will also be a great learning experience for everyone that gets involved, myself included. I will be learning all the different components as you are.

The series will start with the research of what type of drone we want to build, That being said i need to hear from you! Would you want to build a race drone, or prosumer drone? Most drones fit into those two categories with many levels between.

Once we have determined which type to build we will begin the research phase of our build. Finding  each component for the drone, while learning about those specific components. We build our list of what parts we want and we order. Once all the parts have been received, we will begin the build.

Please keep in mind we are in the process to moving to a location i can film in. This will be a venture in the coming three months!!!!! Until then I will be posting articles about specific components to help us with our research. I will also be adding a sign up with your email to be sure not to miss a video or update. All this is coming very soon, please bear with us as we continue to evolve. Thank you, any questions or comments please leave in the comment section below.

Once built we then embark on finding a transmitter and binding it or pairing it to your newly DIY build drone.

CONGRATULATIONS TIME TO FLY!!

Would love to see your flight videos once you take to the sky!!

This is awesome! I cannot wait until we get started. I am looking forward to what kind of drone we will build. I will follow along to be sure to program it properly as well. I want to build the best drone yet. I am confident with your help this will be successful. What kind of resources shall we need to be prepared?

Thank you! Well not much really other than components for the drone itself. The video project i have to do some research on how to do it properly because it will be a long series. At the end of the series I will put all the videos together to create a video on how to build a drone and try to market that video for more traffic.

Turtle18, your post on drones is very interesting. I’m interesting in knowing how do you build friendships with drones, is it a bonding exercise or is it something that anyone can get into?
I like how excited you seem in your post when it comes to building a drone, it seems like a very great way to spend an afternoon.
Also, it doesn’t seem like it is a difficult task from what I can surmise. I’ve never been good at building anything except in video games but building a drone looks like something I could get into. Thanks for the info.

The friendship building is either through the drones, getting together with new people and flying. Or through my Dream builder page of my site to help build a future for the next. Anyone can get into drones.

The building of a drone can be very complicated or very simple, we will find out for the first time via video in a few months. There are tools for building a drone as well as producing video. I am in the process of acquiring both so this can happen. Keep in touch there will be updates and articles to help with the knowledge of the tools needed.

      Thank you
